Job Description:
Experienced Organizational Change Management Professional
2-year degree required; bachelors preferred
5 years of experience working in Organizational Change Management
Strong in communication, execution, and leading without authority
OCM certification is a STRONG plus, but not required
Project management experience is a plus, but not required
Local to Peoria area HIGHLY preferred - would possibly entertain the idea of someone from Chicagoland, if willing to commute every so often at their own expense
Daily responsibilities:
The employee will have an assigned project with an internal client. The employee will work closely with this client to develop functional change strategies and to systematically apply change management to the life cycle of the organizational change. The employee will work closely with Caterpillar's Change Management Team to for training, on-boarding, and alignment of processes.
Education Requirements:
College degree required; Bachelors preferred. 5 years of work experience is required.
Technical Skills:
Change Management certification is ideal, but not required - LaMarsh, Procsi, ACMP (CCMP), or other similar organizational change management certifications.
Knowledge of Change Management processes and tools is required.
Project Management experience and knowledge is nice to have, but not required.
Soft Skills
Superior communications skills are required. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions. Strategic thinking and being able to take a high-level view and combine with granular details will be vital to successful execution of change projects. Experience in Organizational Change Management is necessary.
