Overview

The Landscape Designer IV is responsible for providing advanced technical support in the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects. 

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements by reviewing agencies' guidelines and client specifications.
• Provide QA/QC oversight for multiple landscape design projects to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
• Prepare, review, and direct project layouts, planting and irrigation plans, and complete plan sets.
• Review construction documents and cost estimates, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Interact with agencies to facilitate variances and address out-of-the-ordinary design requests.
• Coordinate closely with field staff and contractors to resolve construction issues.
• Manage the final version of bond issues and coordinate with reviewing agencies for inspections.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff on project execution and technical skills development.
• Understand and manage project schedules for timely product delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to support client needs, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in landscape design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, plant materials, and sustainable design principles.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Experience in resolving construction issues in the field and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
• Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in landscape architecture or related field.
• Professional licensure (PLA) or eligibility to pursue licensure.
