Job Title: Hot Deli Combo ClerkLocation: PAQ, IncReports To: Hot Deli LeadEmployee Type: Regular, Full-TimeExemption Type: Non-ExemptUpdated:06/19/2024 Job Summary:The Hot Deli Combo Clerk provides customer service by checking out, assisting with preparation of and packing foods for clientele in a timely fashion and reporting to the Hot Deli Lead as needed. Additionally, they are also responsible for contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers, including assisting in maintaining company quality standards. Essential Functions of the Position:Assists customers with purchase of food and drink.Provides help with food preparation such as but not limited to cleaning, prepping ingredients and sauces, marinating meats and prepping masa for tortilla production. Cleans and sanitizes restaurant and work-related equipment.Responsible for proper sanitary food storage of hot and cold food.Monitors temperatures to ensure food safety standards are met.Receives and puts away vendor orders.Addresses and resolves customers' complaints and concerns within capabilities to promote good public relations, escalating to store management if necessary.May assist with fulfillment of online customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.Assists in ensuring a favorable company image for customers by maintaining a clean, attractive and friendly restaurant.Maintains a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times including observing company appearance standards. Complies with all safety policies and procedures.Follows local, state and federal health and civil code regulations.Complies with all state, county and local weights and measures laws and labeling requirements.Reports malfunctioning refrigeration or equipment to management immediately. Observes shift operating hours at all times as scheduled or assigned by management.Greets all customers and provides them with prompt and courteous servicePerforms all other duties and assignments as directed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:1 years of Cash Handling and Restaurant experience preferred but not required.Ability to follow company protocols for receiving product to ensure product quality standards and accuracy of quantity.Good verbal communication skills.Capable of using interpersonal skills to support team dynamics and assist customers in a variety of situations.Ability to follow all safety protocols including food safety and properly utilizing and maintaining necessary equipment. Physical Requirements:Performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to operate cash registers.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs. as needed.Hand eye coordination and dexterity to properly utilize cash registers and other job related equipment. Work Conditions:Standard Work Hours: Typically, every day of the week including weekends and holidays with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.Work environment includes refrigerated storage areas and relatively damp or humid conditions including wet or slippery floor surfaces.Noise levels are typically moderate but can be extremely noisy if a need arises to check on refrigeration or enter the compressor/machine room.Dress Code: Professional and presentable.
