Paradies-Lagardere is recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our Lease Accounting Team. The Senior Lease Accountant will perform all aspects of rent/lease accounting and administration. Primary responsibilities will include contract interpretation as it pertains to rent/lease payments, rent calculation and reports. You will also perform IFRS 16 review and perform annual rent certification audits through interaction with internal and external auditors.This Senior Accountant should be skilled in multitasking, project management, critical thinking, organization, communication and the ability to champion a project/initiative through to completion. This position will report directly to the manager and will also frequently interact with upper management and corporate project teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are a must. Duties And Responsibilities
Calculate rental payments for leases, prepare related AP Invoices and monthly journal entries.
Plan for, Manage and Coordinate with, outside auditors to ensure timely and accurate rent certification audits.
Coordinate the timely receipt of information from subtenants in accordance with the subtenant lease agreements, including audit documentation and rental payments.
Maintain lease agreements and amendments, and any database tools for lease details.
Complete, Review and Approve Monthly Rent Reports.
Assist with preparation of year-end audit work papers and responses to audit inquiries.
Ad-hoc project completion and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Education, Experience, Certifications
Required: BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting
Required: 5 years public or private accounting experience
High Proficiency in excel, lease management software experience a plus
Knowledge in SAP Accounting Software and Blackline
