Paradigm is Hiring a Quality Control and Shipping Specialist Near Virginia, VA

Our print press services department is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to assist in our quality control processes, shipping readiness, and stockroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards, are packaged correctly for transport, are stored efficiently in our stockroom, and transported between buildings on campus timely and efficiently. This is a position that requires a hands-on approach to accomplishing things in a timely manner and meets all the needs of the press operators within Print Press Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize job jackets to gather materials for print production.
  • Follow quality control processes for all products, including inspecting printed materials, verifying color accuracy, and checking for defects.
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Oversee the organization and storage of materials, finished goods, and supplies.
  • Track and maintain inventory control.
  • Coordinate and track product movement, ensuring proper packaging and on-time delivery.
  • Transport product between buildings via company van.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to meet production and customer service goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience in quality control and shipping, desired but not required.
  • Valid state issued Driver’s License for transport of product between buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, best practices, material handling, and transport of product.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with mandatory weekday or weekend overtime as needed.
