Purpose Statement

The job of IT Integration Facilitator - Secondary (ITIF-S) is done for the purpose/s of facilitating, training, coaching, mentoring, developing, communicating, and collaborating with district stakeholders on any and all information technologies throughout all initiatives, programs, schools, and departments. The position specifically requires a higher degree of work engagement at the Secondary level of schooling.

This job reports to the Director of Information Technology or Designee

Essential Functions

Define, implement, monitor, and evaluate information technology programs and initiatives.

Establish and conduct school/department interactions to assist with information technology needs.

Ensure that schools and departments are current with emerging information technologies concepts and applications.

Facilitate consensus decision-making with a variety of stakeholders.

Mentor teachers and employees in the use of technology and information.

Work with district information technology representatives to support best practices.

Communicate effectively between school and department level and district level personnel to provide resources and support with information technologies.

Assess the evaluation of software and hardware for the purpose of district-wide information technology acquisition.

Assist with professional development, district information technologies, curriculums, and operations.

Manage projects and programs related to information technology responsibilities.

Assist and evaluate the implementation of district-level initiatives that deliver and support uses of information technology.

Assumes lead, co-lead, and/or as a team member for the purpose of carrying out duties on behalf of the department for the use and integration of information technologies.

Interacts with any and all district stakeholders for the purpose of providing excellent customer service, cultivating supportive and informative relationships, and training.

Responds to inquiries for the purpose of providing technical assistance and support for all district information technologies.

Supports all information technology tasks, projects and initiatives everywhere the district has an identified business need for the purpose of providing direction, advice, and support.

Other Functions

Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: utilizing the pertinent network, application, operating system monitoring, and troubleshooting software; adhering to safety practices; planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records.

KNOWLEDGE is required to perform numeracy and some algebraic operations; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, grammar, and punctuation, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge-based competencies in information technologies are required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job...

ABILITY is required to schedule activities and/or meetings; gather and/or collate data, and consider a number of factors when using the equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes, and utilize a wide variety of equipment under a variety of conditions for multiple purposes. Problem-solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem-solving with data may require independent interpretation, and problem-solving with equipment is moderate to significant. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: setting priorities; establishing effective relationships; being attentive to detail; communicating with diverse groups; conveying technical information to non-technical audiences; working in flexible shifts, including but not limited to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays; working nonstandard hours.

Responsibility

Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; utilization of resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 40% sitting, 20% walking, and 40% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.

Experience: Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
