Job Description: Bindery Machine Operator

Paragraphics is currently looking to hire an experienced bindery machine operator that can thrive in the many facets of our print and packaging manufacturing facility. This opportunity is for a day shift machine operator within our bindery department and is a full-time position with benefits. A qualified applicant will be a team player, quality-oriented, mechanically inclined, and has experience setting up and operating bindery equipment or like machinery.

Essential Job Functions

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate an understanding of our product quality standard, customer specifications and visual inspection requirements.
• Flexibility to operate and train on multiple machines within the bindery department, including Guillotine Cutters, Saddle Binders, Folders, Die Cutting Equipment and Folding/Gluing equipment.
• Regularly conduct tests of the machine’s performance and operating capacity.
• Feed raw materials into semi-automated machines and help the assembly line.
• Produce assigned jobs efficiently and on schedule.
• Effectively communicate with plant manager and bindery supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred, experience operating forming, gluing, folding, binding equipment in a commercial print and packaging operation.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and quality-focused.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
