Director of Sales Development

Parakeet is an outbound sales intelligence (SaaS) company based out of Boston, MA. We're growing fast, moving quickly, and looking for a Director of Sales Development to join our team. As the Director of Sales Development, you will play a crucial role in building out the inbound and outbound SDR teams to drive pipeline and meaningful opportunities that convert to revenue. This is an awesome opportunity for individuals looking to transition into the martech industry, with prior sales management experience.

Our Search for Stellar Candidates:

  • We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and a will-do-anything attitude to hit objectives and deliver results
  • 3-5 years of sales management (SDR management) experience or similar 
  • Strong track record of building from the ground up and leading quota-crushing teams
  • Process-driven with the ability to be fluid and quickly pivot strategies and initiatives 
  • The right candidates will demonstrate a strong ability to solve problems, be proactive, have self-motivation, and take initiative (during the application and interview process)

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, coach, and retain top sales talent
  • Manage a team of 6-8 high performing SDRs
  • Develop and improve the process for inbound lead handling and outbound sales strategy 
  • Inbound: 75% — Run a best-in-class process to qualify inbound leads assigned to the team, conduct qualification calls, inbound demos, and close net new inbound leads
  • Outbound: 25% — Drive a best-in-class process for outbound cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn cadences to prospective clients to close net new outbound business within our ICP
  • Teamwork and Cross-collaboration – communicate and collaborate effectively with the Marketing, Product and Account Executive team 

Qualifications & Expectations:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 3-5 years of sales management (SDR management) experience or similar 
  • Strong track record of building from the ground up and leading quota-crushing teams
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure you and your team keep an organized CRM (Salesforce)
