Paralel is a FinTech administrator and distributor for registered investment products, including ETFs, closed-end funds and mutual funds. The firm offers full-service fund administration, fund accounting, transfer agency and distribution services from its Denver, Colorado headquarters.

Role Overview:

Paralel is looking for a motivated individual to serve as a Fund Administration Analyst who values teamwork, growth, and is excited to learn in our Denver office. Job Responsibilities: (may include and are not limited to)

  • Ensure accounting is in accordance with relevant accounting standards, Investment Company Audit Guide and accounting policies as appropriate.
  • Prepare year end audit packages.
  • Prepare annual reports, semi-annual reports, and assist with audits.
  • Prepare SEC filings and related supporting documentation (e.g., N-CEN, N-CSR, N-PORT, 24F-2, N-1A, N-2).
  • Prepare board reports.
  • Prepare annual operating expense budgets, coordinate monthly expense payments, and monitor budget verses actual expenses.
  • Calculate fund expense ratios.
  • Work directly with clients and internal teams, research issues, facilitate issue resolution, and help provide general assistance to clients on accounting, compliance and financial reporting matters.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • The ideal candidate will have 2 years of registered investment company, accounting or reporting experience
  • Confluence experience a plus
  • FIS Investment Accounting Manager experience a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • A top performer with a proactive approach, and a “doer” and problem solver mentality

Compensation Range:

  • $60,000 - $75,000
  • Performance bonus eligible
  • The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, industry experience, certifications, and other factors.
