About thePosition

Parents AnonymousInc. is looking for an enthusiastic caring and compassionatebehavioral health professional with MSW MFT MS or MA in CounselingPsychology or Social Work.

You will be trained to deliver ParentsAnonymous EvidenceBased Programs to support diverse ParentsChildren & Youth. Experience with Parents is a must as wellas crisis situations.

You will beproviding traumainformed emotional support to diverse ParentsChildren and Youth through calls texts and live chats on theCalifornia Parent & Youth Helpline and Facilitating a FreeWeekly Online Parents Anonymous Support Group.

Trained counselorswho answer the helpline engage in empathy share selfcalming andmindfulness techniques help people build their support system andconnect them to weekly free online Parents Anonymous groups andother services.

Every caller receives somebody who is listening whois not blaming and shaming them and helping them deal with theimmediate emotional issues that they re facing.

ParentsAnonymous provides Clinical Supervision for ACSWs AMFTs andAPCCs.

Specific JobDuties

• UtilizeParents Anonymous EvidenceBased therapeutic processes to respondand assist Parents Children and Youth throughphone / texts / livechats / video chats on the CA Parent and YouthHelpline and document interactions indatabase.
• Provide emotional supportand locate appropriate resources in response to their issue orconcern.
• Address crises such assuicidal ideation and child and elder abuse andneglect.
• Retrieve and reply toemails and messages. Utilize a caller database to collect anddocument calls andoutcomes.
• Document Interestedparents results of Building Family Strength Interviews and PostNational Outcome Surveys and Group Attendance in the ProgramTracking System as well as participate in the Randomized ClinicalTrial with strict protocols to be adheredto.
• Attend all required training andweekly clinicalsupervision.
• Implement all ParentsAnonymous policies andprocedures.
• Maintain confidentialityof all services provided.
• Engage inoutreach initiatives to agencies / organizations to increaseengagement of Parents Caregivers Children and Youth in ParentsAnonymous(R) programs.
• Perform otherduties asassigned.

Requirements

• Mustpossess a Master s Degree in Social Work Marriage and FamilyTherapy Psychology or Counseling from an accredited graduateschool.
• Must have a BBS license and1000 hours of supervision completedpreferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish andEnglish preferred and other languages spoken by Asian PacificIslanders is a plus.
• Must have aminimum of 12 years working in social services with Parents and / orYouth.
• Must have a minimum of 12years of individual or groupcounseling.
• Must have welldevelopedcomputer skills.
• Patient learnerhigh intelligence passionate open to feedback and teamplayer
• Willingness to be flexible tofulfill the requirements of theposition
• Must be culturallyresponsive responsible and able to seek assistance from supervisorwhen crises arise.
• Must have asmartphone reliable inhome internet access and a private room witha door that can be closed where confidential HIPPAcompliantconversations can be held withindividuals.
• Must embrace thephilosophy and theory of change of Parent Anonymous includingmutual support parent leadership shared leadership and personalgrowth and change.
• Attend 80 hoursof Comprehensive Training on Zoom and InPerson

Must possess a Master s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and FamilyTherapy, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited graduateschool.

Must have a BBS license, and 1,000 hours of supervisioncompleted preferred. Fully registered with the Board of BehavioralSciences preferred but not required.

Must have a smartphone, reliablein-home internet access, and a private room with a door that can beclosed where confidential, HIPPA-compliant conversations can beheld with individuals.
