Required Experience
- Experience swimming on a swim team for at least 2 years
- Preferred at least 1 summer coaching a swim team as either Assistant Coach or Coach
- Preferred Aquatics background
- Attending all conference meetings throughout the year and communicating all pertinent information to other coaches & staff
- Setting up fundraiser dates prior to the start of season and coordinating with the Park District to send out necessary advertisements
- Gathering all required information from parents prior to the start of season (swimmer name, age, gender, suit size, shirt size, parent phone & email)
- Coordinating Assistant Coach and Coach scheduling & delegating their responsibilities
- Setting up the first day of practice/parent meeting
- Setting up and running the Remind101 system throughout season
- Coordinating all parent meetings throughout season
- Communicating all meet information to parents
- Communicating with all other teams in the conference
- Meet information
- Sending out & receiving meet lineups
- Inputting all swimmer data into the Team Manager database
- Creating all meet lineups in Meet Manager (with help from Assistant Coaches)
- Setting up home meets
- Communicating with visiting teams
- Putting together all lineups received from teams in Meet Manager
- Printing lineups to sell at meet
- Setting up facility (flags, chairs, lane numbers, etc.)
- Coordinating coaching, lifeguard, and pool attendant staff & delegating their responsibilities
- Holding pre-meet meeting for volunteer timers & officials
- Holding scratch meeting for coaching staff from all teams involved
