Park Nicollet Health Services is Hiring a Nursing Assistant (Melrose Center) Near Park, MN
Position SummaryThe Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing his/her skill and expertise to complement other health care providers.
Work ScheduleNight shift, every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Completed Nursing Assistant Program or completed first quarter clinicals of an accredited RN or LPN program.
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Must follow Minnesota Department of Human Services requirements; DHS Rule 36 requirements mandate that an individual must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle violation criteria.
- Current on State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry or completed at least first quarter clinicals of an accredited RN or LPN program.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
- This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and discrimination and harassment laws).
- Proven proficiency with:
- Telephones
- Computer skills
- Current patient care technology/equipment
- Photo copier
- Fax machine
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
- Preferred active status on the Nursing Assistant Registry
- Preferred BLS certification or ability to acquire certification.
