Park Nursing Home is seeking Food service supervisor to join Food and Nutrition Services Team in planning, organizing, directing, controlling and supervising functions within dietary department of this rehabilitation center and skilled nursing facility.

Position Overview:

Responsible for directing the overall operation of Food and Nutrition Services on weekends. Ensures that quality nutritional services are provided on time and accurate base on resident diet tickets.

Maintained department cleanliness, safe and sanitary manner in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility.

Also serves as member of the interdisciplinary team and assists and troubleshooting any resident food preference needs on weekends.

Completion of all food inventories, Ensure all Refrigerators, freezers and food temperature is done and recorded

Experience:

*Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Hospital or LTC as a food service supervisor.

*Must Be ServSafe or Local food handlers certified, CDM certification highly a plus.

Job Duties:

Participate in facility meals rounds observation and provide residents food like and dislike that may arise. Be prepared to handle emergencies as they occur and provides relief of dietary staff as necessary

Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary; update residents diet ticketsand supplements Labels , Weekly inventories of Food, Chemical, Paper goods etc., ensure control of equipment’s properly working and report repairs needed.
