Park Place Hotel & Conference Center is Hiring a Front Desk Supervisor Near Traverse, MI

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to join our team as a Front Desk Supervisor at Park Place Hotel in Traverse City, Michigan. As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our front desk and ensuring exceptional customer service for our guests. This is a full-time, hourly position with opportunities for growth within our company.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the front desk team, including scheduling, training, and motivating staff members
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes for guests, resolving any issues that may arise
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Assist with guest inquiries and provide helpful information about the local area
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and follow proper procedures
  • Assist with daily reporting and accounting tasks
  • Uphold and enforce all hotel policies and procedures
  • Attend departmental meetings and trainings as required by management
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience a plus
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel reservation systems
  • Available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
