Park Rose Care Center is Hiring a Medical Records Specialist Near Tacoma, WA

As the medical recordsspecialist, you uphold patient confidentiality and rights, maintaining awell-organized system of open and closed medical records.

You will:

  • Assemble and label the admission recordsassuring chart tabs are readable
  • Maintain records in proper order per open chartformat
  • Provide diagnostic and treatment information tothird-party payers to support reimbursement claims
  • Retrieve records for use by administrative orinterdisciplinary personnel for resident care, quality improvement, incidenttracking, investigation, and other authorized purposes
  • Audit open charts
  • Responsible for all discharge records, includingfiling charts.

You currently:

  • Have prior experience working in long-term care,and medical terminology knowledge is strongly preferred
  • Strong HIPAA knowledge is preferred
