Overview
Administrative Assistant supports the Lead Pastor and Leadership Team and provides general front office support.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support for Lead Pastor: Includes managing calendar and correspondence, travel, purchasing, credit card reconciliation, reporting, sermon support, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Administrative Support for Leadership Team: Includes purchasing, credit card reconciliation, general clerical support, etc.
- Meeting Support: Take detailed meeting notes.
- Office Support: Answering door and phone; ensure the proper functioning of office equipment and machines; managing prayer requests, misc. clerical tasks
- Weddings and Funerals: Coordinate with family, pastors, and staff
- Volunteers: Build and lead a volunteer receptionist team.
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and handle a wide variety of tasks with a calm and solution-oriented attitude.
- Technology Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and church management software
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels, including church staff, congregants, and visitors, in a professional and friendly manner.
- Confidentiality: Must handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Team Player: A collaborative spirit and willingness to work alongside other staff members to ensure the smooth functioning of church operations.
- Customer Service Orientation: Ability to represent the church well, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Spiritual Maturity: One who upholds a Christian lifestyle and has a growing relationship with God
- Background: Able to pass a background check.
