Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join our growing team!

As a Buyer, you will support Production by analyzing raw material requirements, placing orders with approved vendors, expediting the timely delivery of these materials and maintaining inventory levels within prescribed goals. You will also plan and purchase finished goods from our contract manufacturing partners. We are looking for someone who is very analytical, proactive in learning new tasks and concepts, is driven to complete work and achieve personal goals and is able to effectively cope with pressure and setbacks.

* Analyze system buy actions against demand, inventory and on order information

* Place purchase orders for materials to maintain inventory levels while satisfying production plan requirements to assure finished goods inventory levels

* Ensure accuracy of purchase order delivery dates through communication and follow up with assigned suppliers

* Work to proactively resolve potential service disruptions and effectively communicate to Operations and Planning as needed

* Maintain records to assure proper receipt and invoicing of materials

* Maintain essential master data for assigned products (planning parameters, item attributes, vendor and PO information, etc.)

* Act as first line of defense against vendor cost price increases

* Responsible for solving daily delivery and quality issues with the suppliers

* Responsible for the follow up on the products on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)

* Responsible for updating of base data related to VMI

* Comply with manufacturing practices, standards, methods, facilities, policies and procedures by studying relevant QMS documents and regulatory requirements

* Conform with Coloplast Code of Conduct and all local Compliance Standards

* Conform with Coloplast Q/EHS Policy

* Other duties as assigned

**Basic Qualifications**

* 3 years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Degree in Supply Chain related field

* Experienced with or understanding of Material Requirement Planning

* Strong negotiating skills

* Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills

* Learns quickly, plans their work and is driven to deliver

* Ability to maintain productivity in a high-pressure environment

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

* APICS Certification Required

* Proficient skills using MS Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook)

* Proficient problems solving skills

* Competent negotiating skills
