Parker Tide is a veteran-owned, small business in DC. We serve as a value-added partner to the government. We are currently seeking Security Specialists to work with one of our clients in Alexandria, VA.

Position: Security Specialist / Program Protection and Risk Management

Salary: Depends on experience.

Investigation: Active Top Secret (T5) Clearance, with SCI eligibility.

Period of Performance: one year and four option years.

Place of Performance: 100% onsite in Alexandria, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

·Develop and implement program protection plans.

· Conduct risk assessments and recommend countermeasures.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance
with security requirements.

· Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk
management strategies.

· Provide training and guidance on risk management
practices.

· Assess the Policy organization’s risk profile to
develop priorities for protection and management of critical assets.

· Establish and maintain
policies, procedures, and processes for comprehensive protection, including
security classification guides and counterintelligence support plans.

· Manage Policy’s delegation of original classification
authority, including training and record maintenance.

· Assess and mitigate threats to the DOD
mission, integrating threat mitigation strategies into the organizational
Insider Threat model.

· Manage OPSEC program requirements on behalf of the
OPSEC manager, including liaising with relevant agencies and conducting annual
OPSEC surveys.

· Submit monthly reports summarizing accomplishments and
mission constraints to the on-site team lead.

Required Skills / Minimum Qualifications:

· Active top-secret security clearance, with SCI
eligibility.

· Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the security
functional area.

· Completed security training from the CSA CDSE within
the past three (3) years.

Preferred Skills and Relevant Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or an additional
5 years of relevant experience with an associate degree or an additional
7 years of relevant experience with no degree.

· At least five (5) years combined OSD, Joint Staff, or
Service-level security experience.

· Experience with handling classified correspondence and
proficiency
in Microsoft Office suite tools.

· Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of DoD,
intelligence community, and national-level personnel security policies and
procedures.
