Maritime Maintenance Coordinator

Parker Towing Company, a leading provider of inland maritime transportation services, is seeking a Maritime Maintenance Coordinator to join our dynamic maintenance team.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs for all maritime vessel machinery, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent to develop and execute effective maintenance plans for the entire fleet
• Implement and enforce quality control standards to uphold the highest levels of maintenance excellence
• Oversee maintenance activities for vessels ranging from 800 HP to 4400 HP, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards
• Other tasks as assigned by Maintenance Superintendent

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner
• Ability to delegate tasks efficiently and effectively, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of information and ensure timely completion of service and repairs
• Aptitude for prioritizing maintenance tasks with input from the Maintenance Superintendent, adjusting plans as necessary to accommodate changing demands

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maritime maintenance or a similar field is highly desirable
• Familiarity with maritime regulations and industry standards
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
• Some travel required
