Position Title: General Manager

Location: Nampa, ID

Position Summary:

The General Manager serves as the leader for the Commercial business within the Regional Operating Center (ROC) of Parkland USA and is responsible and accountable for leading the commercial employees, safety, operations, customers, sales and technology with a goal of operating safely, serving customers, generating sales increases, controlling expenses and maximizing profits. The General Manager is responsible for P&L of the commercial sector of that ROC’s budget. Reports to the VP Commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Leads direct and indirect reports with eye on short and long term goals, sales opportunities, operational issues, culture, teamwork, safety, processes and systems for success.
• Set vision and momentum for commercial employees in the ROC.
• Builds a high performing team through the use of leadership and coaching to positively influence the culture for team members in ROC and ongoing employee growth.
• Works collectively with peers to proactively share information, collaborate and build One Parkland team mentality.
• Promotes the organization to the industry, trade associations and such.
• Represents the organization responsible throughout their community associations.

Operations, Internal Operations and Sales

• Analyzes, adjusts, and evaluates sales and financial information for use in growing and measuring the business.
• Promotes and leads initiatives to improve and grow the business.
• Works in collaboration with Controller, who works as thought leader regarding business and financial metrics and impacts on sales and customers.
• Provides leadership to Operations and Internal Operations to ensure goals and objectives are met.
• Promotes best practices and collaboration within the Commercial business.

Safety, P&C, Finance, IT and other

• Work in collaboration with indirect reports on formal and informal basis to lead elements of POEMS, P&C, Finance, IT, and others as applicable.
• Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parkland USA’s POEMS policies and procedures.

Administration

• Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored is maintained.
• Employee is expected to self-manage, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Employee is responsible for leading vision of ROC, creating sense of urgency, operating with Values and Bold behaviors, implementing change management and focused on growth of business.
• Follow and enforce all Parkland USA’s policies and established procedures.
• Frequent travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance or other related field.
• 10 years of experience in management capacity.
• Proven experience in operations and sales preferred.
• Proven leadership skills and motivator of people.
• Excellent skills in business and financial management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress, change and crisis situations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize opportunities to improve the business results and/or profitability.

Education

• University - Bachelors or better in Finance or related field
• University - Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
