JOB DUTIES:

1. Performs floor care functions, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and buffing.

2. Delivers the following to their respective areas: Linen, Bibs, Diapers.

3. Performs special projects as assigned: wheelchair washing, Medication cart cleaning, stripping,

changing drapes/cubical curtains.

4. Maintains orderly and clean warehouse environment

5. Collects hazardous regulated and potentially infections waste and dispose of it according to

facility policy and procedures.

6. Assists with site clean-up of accidental chemical spills (i.e. mercury).

Utilizes personal protective equipment according to policy and procedure.

7. Reports items in need of repair and any unusual findings to supervisor.

8. Adheres to facility safety policies and procedures.

9. Attends mandatory in-services annually and other in-services as assigned.

10. Responds to pages in a timely manner.

11. Follows dress code for institution.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned by Nursing Supervisor or Director of Nursing. In an

emergency, performs other duties necessary for the welfare of the resident or the efficient

operations of the facility.

13. Participates in performance improvement activities.

14. Practices economy in the use of utilities and supplies.

Must be able to lift heavy objects.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
