The Director of Operations (DOO) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all non-revenue, operating departments including admissions, aquatics, rides, security, park services, special events and parking. The DOO ensures compliance with all corporate and jurisdictional safety standards and regulations.
We Are Currently Looking For aAdventureland Park - Director of Operations
Roles & ResponsibilitiesRoles & Responsibilities
  • Oversight of park rides and aquatics programs; develop and maintain standard operating procedures, permitting, and required signage for all park attractions to ensure the highest level of safety
  • Assist the park’s safety officer to ensure that all corporate and jurisdictional Health, Safety and Environmental performance and documentation standards are met or exceeded, including those set forth by OSHA and various other state/local ordinances and codes; maintain opening and closing operational checklists and park communication systems; conduct regular safety meetings and document regular site safety inspections; serve as liaison for public service agencies such as law enforcement, fire protection and emergency medical services
  • Ensure park cleanliness and visual experience standards; execute COVID enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols
  • Establish and maintain park security staff to monitor the security of park perimeter and premises, conduct security screenings of guests and team members and enforce all park policies and rules of conduct with guests and team members
  • Oversee documentation and reporting related to risk management programs including Workers Compensation
  • Develop parking operations team to maximize efficiency of guest parking areas
  • Lead pre-season and post-season operations teams, including support of routine maintenance activities
  • Provide direction in long-term planning including capex projects and other park improvements
  • Prepare, execute, and oversee annual expenses
  • Other duties as assigned
RequirementsEducation & Training: Bachelor’s degree in Management or related field; equivalent experience will be considered; must hold or be willing to obtain lifeguard instructor certification from Ellis & Associates, Certified Pool Operator certification and any other required certification, training or licenses.

Develop and achieve strategic objectives, plans and time schedules; organize and manage competing priorities, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to detail; Manage the operations expense budget in compliance with corporate purchasing procedures
  • Executive Presence – Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates
  • Flexibility – Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; maintain a flexible work schedule to meet changing demands for multiple concurrent projects
  • Initiative and Adaptability – Take initiative and execute plans to accomplish strategic objectives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Computer Proficiency – MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint);

Other: Physical demands include ability to walk and stand for long periods of time outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat. Ability to perform physical inspections of the facility and attractions; this may include frequent bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds.
