The ideal Sales & Marketing Assistant is a highly organized, customer service orientated strategic thinker that is tech savvy with excellent writing and speaking skills. This position will support the sales team in growing sales and day-to-day operations of the group sales department.
This is a seasonal role.
Roles & Responsibilities

• Field Customer Inquires via phone, email and CRM platforms
• Work alongside marketing and sales team to coordinate and execute integrated sales campaigns
• Develop internal relationships within park with regard to operations and management teams in order to ensure the success of group sales and events
• Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding products or services within group sales or special events
• Create content for sales flyers and promotions, website information, and mailings with regard to offerings and pricing each season, including email campaigns via Salesforce
• Promote and sell all aspects of group sales which includes non-catered groups, catered groups, online consignment, hard ticket consignment, and specialty groups
• Processing of all orders including billing, accounts receivables, and ticketing
• Professionally represent and market the facility at industry meetings, tradeshows and off-site events
• Oversee management of catered events at the park. Train and supervise admissions team members on ticket collections and customer service at catered pavilion events
• Creation and printing of hard tickets for group sales including catered and non-catered events.
• Office management skills, i.e. maintaining copier with service and supplies, order office supplies, and general upkeep of sales office and materials within

Skills:

• Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including customer service skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse populations. Represent the Company well internally and externally and convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates
• Problem Solving/Analysis: Define problems, research and collect data, draw valid conclusions and execute remedial strategies in a timely manner.
• Flexibility – Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; maintain a flexible work schedule to meet changing demands for multiple concurrent projects, and ability to adapt to changing events and strategies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Computer Proficiency – MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint), Experience with Salesforce CRM

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and/or Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related fields. Equivalent experience will be considered
• Flexible schedule - must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays during the operating season
• Experience in the entertainment or amusement and attractions industry a plus, but not required

RelationshipsThis position reports dually to the East Coast USA Regional Hub Director and the Lake Compounce Marketing Director.
