Job Description:We are currently seeking a proven professional to work on various projects within our Transportation Market. The Senior Project Engineer/Traffic Engineer will have demonstrated leadership and technical experience in the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and municipal projects.
Our Project Engineer/Traffic Engineer will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of project types and for a variety of clients. Projects will include safety planning and design, roundabouts, corridor studies, and plans, design of traffic signals and advanced ITS systems, and many others.
This position offers hands-on training in the hot field of intelligent transportation systems and smart city infrastucture.

Tasks And Responsibilities
- Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT, and private clients
- Produce and review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecasting
- Establishes guidelines for cost estimates. Reviews and approves estimates prepared by others
- May function as Project Manager - demonstrating strong team, communication, and organization abilities
- Frequently functions as a subject matter expert
- Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully address client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues
- Independently develop projects. May be assigned as subject matter expert
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 7 years' experience as a Project Engineer/Traffic Engineer
- Ohio PE License
- Experience in MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Experience in design-related software such as SignCad and AutoTurn
- Experience in HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel
- Applicant must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance
- Must have strong communication skills and be team-orientated.
- P.T.O.E. preferred
- Road Safety Professional is a plus
- Travel demand modeling is a plus
- Basic or advanced GIS capabilities desired
- Knowledge of MUTCD policies and procedures
