In this role you will get to completes a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard accounting techniques and principles. This is a local Hybrid opportunity within Orange County, CA. What You'll Be Doing: Perform monthly cost reconciliations and analyze financial data from Costpoint and other systems. Create and maintain desktop procedures. Support internal and external audits and other departments. Review expense reports to determine if costs are allowable, allocable, and reasonable pursuant to government regulations (FAR, Part 31), and company policies and procedures. Obtain appropriate supporting information and documentation from internal and external sources, including other Finance Department groups, other departments or divisions, other Parsons entities, vendors and customers. Verify accuracy and legitimacy of accounting records, including accounts, organizations and jobs/projects. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Minimum 2 years of related work experience Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Excellent verbal and oral communication skills Willingness to report to the office when requested U.S. Citizenship What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Reconciliation.
