The Clinical Survivor Advocate (CSA) will provide intensive comprehensive case management and referrals for all victims of human trafficking identified. The CSA will provide trauma-informed clinical case management for victims of human trafficking and will work with regional service provider partners to ensure follow up and coordination of all aftercare services. The CSA will proactively conduct community outreach with project partners to identify high-risk populations for sex and labor trafficking in Fairfield County/Connecticut. The CSA will be responsible for participating in awareness and training events when applicable as well as develop rapport with local law enforcement contacts. The CSA will be located onsite at the PEHT Residential Home and will travel regionally to meet with clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
MSW degree or BSW or related field with minimum two year’s experience working in human trafficking or a related field (e.g. domestic violence, immigrant rights, workers’ rights) or comparable combination of experience and education in Human Trafficking in a role that involves service provision, training, and/or advocacy. Licensure preferred.
Experience with trauma-informed care models.
Must have an understanding of the issue of Domestic and Foreign Human Trafficking.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel from site to site as may be needed in the performance of duties.
Professional-level communications skills verbal and written.
Bilingual in Spanish, Fench, or Haitian preferred.
Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Partnership to End Human Trafficking.
As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse.
