Paseo Cares Home Health is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Edinburg, TX

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Paseo cares home health has an exciting job opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Medical Biller that will be supporting their Edinburg, TX agency professionally and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be the point of contact with all insurance questions. The Medical Biller will be responsible for organizing medical costs and sending invoices to collect payment from patients and their insurers.

Other duties will include calling patients to discuss payment and develop reasonable payment plans, and entering patient data into HHAeXchange program

Responsibilities:

· Reviewing patient bills for accuracy, completeness, and obtaining missing information required for billing.

· Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using HHAeXchange , including electronic and paper claim processing.

· Ensure billing is done in a timely manner.

· Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount

· Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments. Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.

· Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up.

· Researching and appealing denied claims.

Basic Qualifications:

· A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in medical billing is preferred, but not required

· Will consider a recent school graduate.

· Prior medical office experience preferred, but not required.

· Knowledge in HHAeXchange , Payspan, Availity, Echo, TMHP preferred.

· Excellent communication skills and computer skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

  • Medical coding: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical office experience: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Edinburg, TX 78541: Relocate before starting work (Required)
