Japanese SOGO SHOSHA conglomerate trading and investment company in NYC seeks Japanese bilingual Administrative Coordinator to provide full administrative support to the SVP of the chemical unit including but not limited to full administrative work for the SVP and general administrative work for unit members and subsidiaries. Provides backup support and coverage for other assistants and executives in the organization as requested.
Full time position
Urgent: Start immediately
Non-exempt with bonus
Work hours: 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri
Work in the office 3 days a week
Salary: $75K-$99K
Key Accountabilities:
Collects, reviews, and analyzes industry news, financial data, industry conference materials, and presentations to prepare complex reports, charts, budgets, and other presentation materials utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other specialized software.
Prepares and distributes reports or other communications on a regular schedule.
Screens calls and responds to or routes routine inquiries from external or internal sources with appropriate correspondence or other messaging.
Schedules and coordinates meetings, travel, and other group activities.
Administers expense reporting, invoicing, disbursements, debit notes, office supply inventory, or other routine processes. Maintains files, databases, and archives of relevant records as company guidelines require.
Drafts and maintains yearly budget (prospect and outlook) for unit
Acts as IT Coordinator for unit.
Key Qualifications - REQUIRED:
4-6 years of previous related experience
Full bilingual fluency in Japanese and English
Associate’s degree or equivalent
Key Qualifications - PREFERRED:
Intermediate-level experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Previous experience with SAP and other administrative systems
Previous experience in the mineral resources industry, steel industry, or Japanese trading company
