Essential Functions
- Underwrite first mortgage, second mortgage and consumer loans as per policy, procedure, federal, state and agency regulations and guidelines to ensure proper lending practices.
- Approve loan requests within individual lending authority.
- Decision customer declinations and withdrawals and properly maintain files.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of bank and competitor loan products including all terms and conditions.
- Work closely with originators to expeditiously resolve complex issues regarding loan applications, loan documentation, and policy and regulatory guidelines.
- Attend OLC/ELC as required to present and recommend loans for approval.
- Stay current on changes to industry regulations and changes to the underwriting guidelines
- Be point of contact for Homebuyer Dream Program
- Maintain complete knowledge of all policies and procedures and recommend changes to the credit manager.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations which apply to the residential and consumer lending process
- Complete all regulatory compliance training.
- Other duties as assigned for efficient operation of the bank.

Required Education, Experience And Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to understand and learn the banks internal systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another business related major.
