As an Early Learning Center (ELC) Cleaning Specialist, your commitment to cleanliness and hygiene will be pivotal in maintaining a healthy and safe environment. You'll follow daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly cleaning schedules to ensure the ELC stays clean and orderly.

In this position, you will perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming, with daily vacuuming of all carpets. Collect and bag all garbage, ensuring proper disposal in closed dumpsters. Clean and supply restrooms, upholding a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Thoroughly clean and disinfect horizontal surfaces, including phone headsets, door handles, light switches, restroom fixtures, sinks, and drinking fountains. Clean all waste receptacles inside and out using germicidal cleaner, changing bags daily. Assist with salting sidewalks during the winter.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, if needed.
• Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
• Essential physical skills: be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and push and pull against potential resistance.
