Job Description
Patient Centered Services LLC is seeking experienced and dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurses to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. Our ideal candidates will provide specialized nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab, focusing on cardiac catheterization, transaortic valve replacement, and electrophysiology procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac catheterization procedures and assist in transaortic valve replacement and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Monitor and assess patients' cardiovascular status using advanced nursing skills and ECG monitoring.
  • Administer medications and manage patients' hemodynamic status during procedures.
  • Provide patient teaching and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
  • Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Qualifications
Required Certifications/Degrees:
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted state license for Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience Required:
  • A minimum of one (1) year of critical care experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years within the past three (3) years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience, demonstrating competence and excellence in advanced nursing skills, ECG monitoring, hemodynamics, emergency response, patient teaching, and patient/family communication.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience working with Veterans Affairs (VA) patients.
  • Knowledge of the VA electronic medical records system (CPRS).
