Job Description

Patient Centered Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neuro and Neurosurgical care to join our dynamic healthcare team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med/Surg, with a preference for those with experience in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and ventilator management. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and other prescribed therapies.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and ongoing care needs.
• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care and education for neurosurgical patients.
• Perform routine and complex nursing procedures, including but not limited to, wound care, catheterization, and ventilator management.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Provide compassionate support and advocacy for patients and their families.

Qualifications

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.

Licensure and Certifications:

· Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.

· American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

· American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Experience:

· One year of experience in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) or a minimum of two years of Med/Surg experience.

· Ventilator experience preferred.

· Previous experience working with Veterans Affairs (VA) is highly desirable.

Skills:

· Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

· Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
