The Junior Front-End Developer will be responsible for creating elegant, interactive, and responsive interfaces to shape the digital footprint of our company. Develop, test, and implement user-facing features for our digital platforms to improve overall user experience. Ensure the technical feasibility and optimal functioning of UI/UX designs. Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability and meet product stakeholder requirements. Maintain and improve our company website, ensuring it reflects our commitment to quality and innovation. Optimize applications for maximum speed, considering both desktop and mobile users. Design mobile-based features to ensure accessibility and user-friendliness. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and apply them into operations and activities. Develop new features, enhance existing features, and implement bug fixes in existing code. Performs other related duties as assigned. Competencies Organized, attention to detail. Supervisory Responsibility This position requires no supervisory responsibility. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office and, in some cases, from a remote offsite location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position is primarily sedentary and requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires good manual dexterity and coordination with the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours can change at the discretion of the IT Director; though typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend and evening hours may be necessary to accommodate any issues that might arise. Travel This position requires minimal travel time. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. An understanding of server-side CSS. An understanding of responsive and adaptive design. Proficient in browser testing and debugging. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and team collaboration skills. Must be 18 years of age or older. Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
