We need an HR Assistant in Hebron, KY to provide HR support to our 3rd shift employees. This is a full-time role that will work the third shift (10 PM – 8:30 AM ET, 11 PM - 9:30 AM ET, OR 12 AM - 10:30 AM) on Monday-Thursday and is based on site in Hebron, KY.
Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is a day in the life of an HR Assistant?
  • Provide HR support to 3rd shift employees, leads, and management
  • Work with a small staff of 1st shift HR professionals to achieve employee engagement, retention, and compliance goals and meet company objectives across shifts
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company policies
  • Responsible for assisting with weekly payroll for 200 hourly associates
  • Respond to employee and management questions and concerns regarding paychecks, time reporting and company policies
  • Monitor tardy and absenteeism reports and ensure procedure is followed for any employees in violation of attendance policy
  • Ensure Workers Compensation procedures are followed, collecting data relating to injuries on the job, and administering Workers Compensation information
  • Act as a point of contact for employee relations such as work complaints, employee concerns, benefits, policy interpretation, etc
  • Facilitate communication and flow of information from each shift to the other
  • Organize, update, and maintain HR electronic filing system, ensuring HR and management have access to relevant HR documentation
  • Provide mentorship, facilitate discussions, and make recommendations for employee development needs
  • Assist in policy and procedure development for the warehouse
  • Conduct initial incident investigations and review with HR Manager to determine appropriate resolution
  • Coach and guide managers, as needed, in executing employee disciplinary actions
  • Assist with onboarding and drug screening for 3rd shift new hires
What will I need to thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish
  • 1-2 years of HR experience, preferably in a warehousing, distribution center, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong customer service orientation and communications skills with demonstrated ability to engage with diverse groups of individuals at all levels
  • Proficient ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail
  • Proven ability to handle, update and maintain sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner
  • Proficient use of Google Suite is a plus
  • Experience using Workday is preferred
