Patterson-UTI is Hiring a Billing Supervisor Near Victoria, TX

The Accounts Receivables Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the project setup and billing. Primary responsibilities include: supervising and guiding the project setup responsibilities, troubleshooting for all projects, providing supervision and guidance for the projects billing group, and to ensure that all issues are communicated timely to the appropriate entities.

The successful candidate will: set high standards of performance for themselves and others; be professional in written, verbal and personal actions in any situation; seek new knowledge and experiences; have an analytical mindset that can utilize factual data to develop creative and business-oriented solutions; be self- aware and adjust accordingly to different environments and audiences.

This position will work closely with the Accounting department, as well as occasionally with Credit and Collections.

Detailed Description:

  • Review revenue
  • Provide support and guidance related to the creation of invoices
  • Coordinate invoicing submission platforms with customer contacts
  • Review and monitor team’s progress
  • Provide accrual information monthly
  • Analyze current processes and controls
  • Provide training, guidance, and leadership for direct reports
  • Understand camp level processes to determine best practices – implement and monitor
  • Limited travel to assist districts as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include emails, memorandums as well as presentations in both one-on-one and group settings
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritizing tasks with many distractions, and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines

  • Broad base of knowledge and skills related to maintaining accounting records, specifically for accounts receivable

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or a GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years-experience in Projects module experience with setup and development with Oracle software
  • Oracle software AR module experience with cash receipts application
  • Drilling contracts understanding

Additional Details:

This job requires the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered; to create work environment for supervised personnel to interact effectively with all staff, management and operations personnel; and, to lead by example in working productively in a pleasant and professional manner. It also requires the physical ability to work in office environment including the ability to sit for long periods of time while performing office or computer tasks. This role requires some overtime and may require working some weekends or holidays.
