Job DescriptionWarrior is a rig equipment design and manufacturer of technologically advanced pipe handling equipment. Our experienced team designs, manufacturers, and services drilling rig components including AC Top Drives, Hydraulic Top Drives, Iron Roughnecks, and Triplex Mud Pumps. The Quality Advisor will assist in promoting, developing, and overseeing compliance with the company's quality system to ISO 9001, API Q1, and API 8C specifications. They play a pivotal role in ensuring that Warrior products and services consistently meet customer, legal, and regulatory standards. This involves supporting the Quality Manager in developing and implementing quality policies, standards, procedures, programs, and practices aimed at enhancing operational performance and driving continual improvement.
Detailed Description
  • Prepare and maintain necessary documents and records under the Quality Management System, including nonconformances, corrective actions, reports, forms, work instructions and ITP plans.
  • Assist in maintaining quality policies and procedures in the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to attain product quality.
  • Promote the Warrior Quality Culture across all departments.
  • Coordinate with Quality Manager on all Warrior quality requirements to ensure company processes and procedures are followed.
  • Organize and monitor Non Destructive Examination (NDE) activities.
  • Participate in vendor qualification process and interactions and perform in-process and final inspections of product.
  • Respond to and investigate internal and external quality-related issues. Assist in root cause analysis.
  • Liaise with purchasing to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
  • Work directly with suppliers to ensure compliance of supplied materials.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with customers to support quality requirements and investigate customer complaints.
  • Interact with the Production and Engineering Department to maintain product quality during new product development and field implementation.
  • Perform quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, as well as processes and completed products.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by assisting with and conducting product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
  • Assist in managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for all business areas.
  • Ensure new employees are trained in the requirements of the QMS related to their roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate continual improvements of the Warrior QMS by documenting nonconformances and maintaining evidence of corrective and preventive actions that are taken.
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to learn & uphold company specific systems, core values, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft suite of products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) is required.
  • Good communicator, in verbal and written form, with the ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Effective leadership, communication, mentoring & team building skills.
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
  • Physical ability to: 
    • Lift and carry 25 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces.
    • Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during visits to the field and operational work areas.
    • Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and or machinery problems.
    • Stay alert and focused including during occasional extended work periods.
    • Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around the work environment with many moving objects including overhead machinery.
    • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times.
    • Ability to travel as needed to visit worksites and support business units; may require minimal to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
    • Ability to work on weekends and be on call after hours or travel as needed with limited notice as needed.
  • Ability to travel (less than 25%) as needed to visit worksites and support business units; may require extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role.
  • 3 using Microsoft Office, Business Systems (Oracle, SAP), and/or ERP Software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Previous oilfield experience
  • Experience in a Quality Assurance role in the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous experience with API Certifications
Additional DetailsThis position requires the person to work in both an office and remanufacture facility environment. Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE). The position must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. Also, must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations and be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days; and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays.
