Paul J. Ford and Company is Hiring a CAD Technician, Telecom Near Columbus, OH

Position Summary

Responsible for preparing detailed CAD drawings, plans, and layouts for cell tower and civil infrastructure projects, following project specifications, engineering designs, and industry standards.

Essential Functions

∙ Collaborates with engineers and field technicians to translate project requirements and concepts into accurate and comprehensive CAD designs and documentation.

∙ Read and interpret documents and interact with individuals at all levels. Utilize effective communication skills.

∙ Make final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.

∙ Utilize CAD software to create and modify drawings, incorporating design changes, revisions, and redlines as directed.

∙ Prepare site plans, elevation drawings, and construction details for cell tower installations, equipment locations, and associated civil works.

∙ Adhere to project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.

∙ Understand and follow Company established CAD Standard procedures for standard drawing procedures for projects.

∙ Willingness to keep up to date with CAD software, and training to improve CAD efficiency and accuracy.

∙ Responsible for setting up and maintaining an organized file system for drawings in accordance with Company procedures.

∙ Review design drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness and identify and resolve discrepancies as needed.

∙ Work effectively both independently and as a team member.

∙ Attend meetings as needed.

∙ May be assigned specific responsibilities within the company, as needed.

∙ Adhere to all company policies and procedures in the current PJF Employee Policy and Procedure Manual.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

∙ Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

∙ Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

∙ Possess mechanical aptitude.

∙ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

∙ Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet browsers, and email.

∙ Knowledge of AutoCAD.

∙ Ability to be a team player.

∙ Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.

∙ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

∙ High school diploma required.

∙ Associate degree in computer-aided drafting, engineering technology, or related field.

∙ 3 years of equivalent experience and training.

∙ Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

∙ Due to the collaborative nature of this position and accessibility for in-house and on-site client meetings, it is essential that the work be performed in the office and during regular business hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
