Paulie Gee's Chicago is represents two restaurants - Paulie Gee's Logan Square and Paulie Gee's Wicker Park. Our flagship restaurant in Chicago has been open 8 years, and has steadily grown with the neighborhood, and we're looking to continue growing through our special events and catering events!

Role Description

This is a full-time Special Events and Catering Manager role at Paulie Gee's Chicago located in Chicago, IL, with flexibility for some remote work. The Special Events and Catering Manager will be responsible for planning and executing special events and catering services. They will collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, coordinate with the kitchen staff to create customized menus, oversee the event setup and execution, and ensure client satisfaction. The Special Events and Catering Manager will also handle vendor relationships, manage budgets, and provide exceptional customer service. We are looking for someone who also has kitchen experience, who will be comfortable learning how to execute pizzas at our special events.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities for offsite events and onsite special events
• Oversee guest services and resolve issues relating to special events and catering
• Ensure a high quality of ingredients and food preparation
• Communicate with kitchen team to execute special events and catering
• Create and adjust event staff schedules to meet restaurant and event needs
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, must have/obtain Manager's Certificate and any special event/summer event certificates as necessary
• Daily e-mail/phone communication with pending guests who are looking to set up special events/catering

Pay Structure:

• $45,000 base salary/yr
• 10% of profits from special events/catering up to $45,000
• 25% of profits from special events/catering after $45,000 for the year (Jan 1st to Dec 30th), no upper limit cap

• 50% off at all our restaurants (Logan Square, Wicker Park, Wheeling) up to 8 people in the party
