PawsWatch Community Cat Center in Johnston, RI is looking for a part time veterinary technician to join our team. Position is part time, 8-16 hrs per week, 3 years of experience required. The position does not require certification.
You will join our veterinary staff of 2 vets and 1 experienced vet tech. The CCC is a shelter that takes in community cats, feral and tame, which have a range of medical issues that may not be seen in an owned cat practice. This position does not require surgical experience but the right candidate can learn to participate in surgeries, from spay/neuter to dental to wound care and more. Job entails: check up on cats who have already been treated, administer medication and vaccines, take blood, give anesthesia, do wellness checks on cats and kittens, restrain cats for veterinary treatment. Our center has a capacity of approximately 50 cats. If you have a passion for cats, have the right experience level, are able to safely restrain cats in distress, and enjoy new and challenging situations, we would love to hear from you.
