Role Description: As a Project Manager in this role, you would be responsible for overseeing projects related to audiovisual systems, data communications, access control solutions, video surveillance systems, and structured cabling installations. Your role would involve a combination of technical expertise and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
· Coordinate and manage all aspects of projects from inception to completion.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, field operations, and subcontractors.
· Create and maintain project schedules, part procurement, while ensuring the timely completion of tasks and milestones.
· Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
2. Design and Estimation:
· Work closely with estimators/sales to develop technical specifications and system designs based on client requirements.
· Provide accurate cost estimation for projects, considering materials, labor, and other resources.
· Review and approve design plans to ensure they align with project goals and industry standards.
3. Technical Expertise:
· Possess a solid understanding of audiovisual systems, data communications, access control, video surveillance, and structured cabling standards.
· Working knowledge on federal and state standards to include. ADA compliance, National Fire Code (NFC), International Building Codes (IBC), and BICSI/ANSI cabling standards.
4. Procurement:
· Identify required materials, equipment, and resources for each project.
· Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection and purchasing.
· Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project timelines.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
· Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
· Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
6. Quality Control:
· Implement the standards for the quality assurance processes to ensure that installations and deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations.
