PC Network is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing complex Corporate Security projects which include wedge barriers, cameras, bollards, guard quarters, fencing and other related implementations that are used to perform security hardening of Client facilities. The selected individuals will be required to work with the CS Design and Construction Sr. Program Managers, to successfully initiate projects, monitor and take action on issues and risks, and bring to close CS projects and transition into production. The Project Manager will have to communicate proficiently both verbally and in writing. The Project Manager will report to either the Director Capital Projects, Sr. Program Manager for Design or Construction, or other senior management within Corporate Security and act as a key point of contact to the external Client stakeholders. The Project Manager is expected to be a team player and be able to communicate with key stakeholders, the status of projects, develop communications plans, CONOPS, schedules, identify costs buildup, perform risk management, and other project management activities. The Project Manager is expected to work at the Corporate Security facility in Washington, DC, but also be in the field approximately 10% to 25% of the time. While in the field, the Project Manager is expected to wear PPE in order to perform their duties. The Project Manager is expected to be a team player, good with contract management, have a good understanding of construction management, have a security background and be able to work independently.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop all supporting process documentation.
  • Develops CONOPS, Post Orders and Communications plans for facilitate turnover to the yard, station, or site.
  • Develop project schedule, baselines, risk management and successfully track to completion.
  • Develop statement of work or request for proposals for security hardening projects
  • Monitor Client designers and general contractors work, to confirm adherence to contract terms and where necessary, develop corrective action plans on behalf of Corporate Security management.
  • Develop lessons learned documents for future projects use.
  • Monitor projects for change requests and validate against contract terms and conditions.
  • Review contract terms and develop contract matrix to monitor deliverables. Assess deliverable against contract terms and conditions.
  • Develop and implement automated (as much as possible) processes and procedures for reporting mechanisms, dashboards, and presentations describing CS project financial performance and feed this data to ensure a cohesive picture of the program and portfolio financial performance.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for evaluating impact assessment of identified project financial risks to enable the project team with applicable data for developing risk mitigation plans and contingencies.
  • Develop and implement cost estimating processes and procedures to capture historical cost data from projects for budgeting and reporting purposes.
  • Review all processes and procedures to ensure all are compliant with Client Enterprise Project Management methodology.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from PMI.
  • Detailed oriented
  • Effective project management skills
  • Demonstrated project controls, & financial skills (budget management, financial reporting) for departmental level.
  • Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service
  • Effectiveness of working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint,
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Must have work authorization in the United States.
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience with construction projects
  • Experience with contract management and interpretation of contract award
  • Experience with delivery of projects with high customer satisfaction
  • Experience with using Excel for financial modeling and reporting of performance data.
  • Experience working on Transportation and Federal projects.

  • Precise and articulate when describing financial and project issues.
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects.
