Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead and build a team of five dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, with a focus on the sports construction industry preferred. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a passion for driving growth and building relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive company growth and market expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five business development professionals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and market segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and business development reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or related field.

  • Proven experience in business development, with a focus on the civil sports construction industry preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Ability to travel within the territory as needed.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and team collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

  • Early AM, after hour and weekend commitments may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must have a clean driving record and ability to pass an annual motor vehicle record check.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen.
