PCG Consulting group is a dynamic and innovative technology-driven organization that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. We are currently seeking an Advanced Business Application Programming Developer for one of our many clients to join our team.
Please Note:_ We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants who require visa sponsorship will not be considered.As an Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that support business processes within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, develop efficient ABAP code, and ensure the seamless operation of SAP and other enterprise systems.
Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs and applications to meet business requirements. Collaborate with functional teams to gather and understand requirements for software enhancements and customizations.
SAP Integration: Integrate ABAP solutions with SAP modules and other third-party systems to ensure data consistency and smooth data flow. Develop and maintain interfaces and data conversions between SAP and external systems.
Database Management: Perform database design and optimization, including SQL scripting and query optimization. Ensure data integrity and consistency within the applications.
Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues within ABAP programs and applications. Optimize code for efficiency and scalability.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for ABAP programs, including code comments, user manuals, and change logs. Maintain documentation of system configurations and customizations.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing and system integration testing to ensure the reliability of ABAP programs. Debug and troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
Security: Implement security best practices and ensure that applications are compliant with data security and privacy regulations.
Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing ABAP applications, including bug fixes and enhancements. Monitor system performance and resolve issues as they arise.
Training and Collaboration: Train end-users and team members on new features and applications. Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an ABAP Developer, with a strong understanding of SAP systems. Proficiency in ABAP programming, including object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. Knowledge of SAP modules and business processes.
- Strong database management skills, including experience with SQL. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and coding standards .Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Relevant certifications in ABAP development or SAP are a plus.

- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development. Knowledge of SAP HANA and in-memory computing.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Integration Suite. Understanding of agile development methodologies.
- 5 years of experience in developing using core SAP ABAP. This includes using OOP and all SAP enhancement techniques
- 4 years of experience in developing in UI5/Fiori, Gateway, and OData technologies
- 3 years of experience in developing CDS Views and HANA views
- 3 years of experience writing unit tests via ABAP Unit.
- 2 years of experience working with IDocs, Proxies, and Webservices
- 1 years of functional and technical experience in the core SD module and/or Warranty Claims Processing
- 5 years of experience configuring, developing, and/or troubleshooting PI interfaces Willingness to learn and work outside of the SAP tech stack including in areas such as Java, JavaScript, and AWS SAP PSCD
