PCH Treatment Center is a psychological treatment facility located in Mar Vista community near Santa Monica, California. We are currently seeking a Group Therapist who has experience working with chronic and severe mental illness.

Reports to: Clinical Director

Group Therapists are contracted to provide group psychotherapy that is consistent with the overall approach of PCH and the individual clinical needs of PCH clients. Therapists play an integral role in the multi-disciplinary team by assessing clinical needs, as well as participating in the development and execution of treatment plans. Group therapists work closely with Program Directors (Case Managers), the clinical director, and other clinical/medical staff to ensure clinical success for our clients.

Common Responsibilities:

Provides daily clinical progress notes in client's electronic health record

Attends and participates in clinical team meetings

Assists with clinical assessment and treatment plan for assigned clients

Participates in discharge planning

Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and updates for assigned clients

Individual sessions for all assigned clients

Group counseling, education, and meetings per program schedule

Maintains ongoing communication with client's Program Director

Communicates with family/support system throughout duration of client's treatment

Participates in trainings, and individual/group supervision meetings

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director

Education/Experience Required:

Must have 5 year Licensure in the state of California

Must have 3-5 years' previous individual/group psychotherapy experience required

Prior experience in a treatment center or psychiatric facility preferred

Knowledge/Skills:

Proficient in Family Therapy

Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team necessary

Competent with computer systems and electronic records

Able to communicate effectively with staff, clients, families and referents

Psychoanalytic/Psycho-dynamic background or experience a plus
