The Position:

The Offset press operator is responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of Heidelberg 2 Color offset printing press. They are responsible for ensuring the high-quality production of printed materials and ensuring that the presses are operated in a safe and efficient manner.

FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES:

• Reading and understanding job specifications and printing requirements
• Preparing the press by loading paper and making necessary adjustments
• Operating the press in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Monitoring the press during production to ensure quality and accuracy
• Making necessary adjustments to the press to maintain high-quality production
• Conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of the press
• Troubleshooting and solving technical problems that may arise during production
• Maintaining accurate records of press usage and production statistics
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Must be reliable and have excellent attendance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience operating Heidelberg or other offset printing presses
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications
• Familiarity with printing processes and techniques
• Ability to work independently
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• High School Equivalent or GED

**3rd shift - 11pm-7am Monday - Friday, may also include weekends**

**Occasional overtime is required**
