The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent nonprofit organization authorized by Congress in 2010. Its mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed healthcare decisions. Position Summary
The Office of the Chief of Engagement, Dissemination, and Implementation (EDI) serves as the central hub for the EDI division, coordinating operations and programmatic activities. Activities include budget development, strategic planning, project coordination, reporting and analysis, recruitment, and communication facilitation within and outside of the division.
Working with the Chief Officer, EDI; division leadership, and additional staff as appropriate, the Associate Director in the Office of the Chief Officer, EDI is responsible for managing the operations of this complex and diverse division, providing day-to-day oversight of initiatives within the Office of the Chief, and driving cross-functional and cross-team collaboration to support organizational goals.
The areas of responsibility for this role are broad. The Associate Director (AD) will need to develop a deep understanding of PCORI’s work and goals, as well as organizational processes and initiatives. They will need to draw on management skills to support integration of focused and specialized activities, as well as collaborate with division leadership to support program goals within the division.
The Associate Director (AD) will work closely with the Chief to ensure consistency in programmatic and operational effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with division, department, and organization goals. The AD will develop collaborative relationships with colleagues across the organization and will often be called upon to serve as a technical and subject-matter advisor on EDI operations, policies, and processes. Particular areas of focus may include primary responsibility for supporting operational, administrative, and strategic planning, facilitating conversations and issue explorations in support of or on behalf of the Chief, directing or tracking attention and resources to priority matters, and providing critical advice and support to the Chief and division leadership. This position also has responsibility for ensuring adherence to PCORI’s policies and procedures.

Required SkillsCompensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $169,521 - $203,425
The above range represents the salary range expected for the position; however, final offers are based on several factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may participate in PCORI-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
