About the Role:

As a Business Analyst I - Data, you will take ownership of initiatives that significantly impact our business. With a passion for technology, data, and a strong desire to learn, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand the data needs of each department. Your primary responsibilities include learning PCS's data structure, defining requirements for reports and dashboards, writing complex SQL queries, utilizing Power BI for data visualization, and troubleshooting data-related issues.

What you will do:

• Meet with business stakeholders to understand and document the data needs of each PCS department.
• Learn and become proficient in PCS's data structure to effectively support business needs.
• Define requirements for reports and data projects to provide actionable insights.
• Communicate and prioritize requirements to ensure effective collaboration with teams responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the solutions.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
• Utilize Power BI to create interactive and insightful data visualizations and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve report or data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with data engineers and Power BI developers to design and implement reporting solutions.
• Provide guidance to development and business teams during the build and implementation phases of solution and delivery across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Actively help prioritize the work of overseas teams to manage the delivery of in-flight projects.
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and decisions throughout the full lifecycle of delivering technology solutions for our business.
• Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, collaborating across technical and business teams to manage outcomes. 

We are Seeking People Who:

• Have a bachelor's degree in business analytics, information systems, computer science or related field
• Have at least 2 years of experience in defining requirements for data-related technical solutions.
• Project management experience in delivering programs of varying levels of complexity.

• Are proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Have experience with Power BI and creating data visualizations.
• Are team players, able to effectively interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Have strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. 
• Are owners.
