PDQ STAFFING is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Tech - Food Manufacturing (FT) Near Lewisville, TX

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturing facility in the Lewisville area. Ideal candidate will have troubleshooting experience, Food manufacturing and is flexible to work night shift.

Pay rate: $20 ~ $25/hr.

Shift: 8:30pm-3am (Must be flexible to work on the weekends).

MAJOR FUNCTION: Maintenance Technician I must be able to complete all Plant requirements with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Work in conjunction with Operations/Quality Staff on daily operational-related issues.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance Technician I is required to carry out the listed responsibilities and assist the maintenance team as needed. They are also expected to perform duties unsupervised with proper training. Example: The M.T.I is expected to assist in MC 45 repair unless trained and then they are expected to work unsupervised. This will be managed by the M.M/A.M.M.
Assist in preventive maintenance of conveyors, belts, and ovens (including repairing belts, wire conveyor belts, replace and lubricating bearings).
Assist in performing regular preventive maintenance on equipment.
Report problem to the M.M/A.M.M.
Assist in undertaking planned maintenance, breakdown repair, and condition monitoring activities of plant equipment
Assist in replacing chains, sprockets, shafts, etc.
Assist in motors: wiring, troubleshooting, replacement.
Assist in water pumps: repair (replace seals); replace complete assemblies.
General maintenance (building and ground). Painting, building upkeep, equipment upkeep, cleaning, etc.
Assist in general plumbing: working with PVC and Copper pipes.
Experience using a drain cleaning machine.
Performs and supervises basic preventative and on-demand maintenance of electrical systems such as replacing light bulbs, and sockets, and cleaning and repairing as needed.
Assist with the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when advised.
Assists with the maintenance of the heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.

Requirements:

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Working overtime may be required.
Ensure health and safety policies are followed.
Working knowledge of general facilities machinery and equipment.
Ability to keep track of and report on daily activity.
Must be able to work day or night shifts.
Ability to work in cold and hot environments, going back and forth between temperatures.
While performing the duties of this job, you are required to stand; walk; bend, lift, and move quickly. Use hands and fingers, handle and lift 50 pounds or more.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
