Origin Story

Founded in 2003, Faith Presbyterian Hospice makes each moment matter for its patients by providing superior end-of-life care and deep respect for everyone the organization serves and influences. As one of the premier hospice providers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Faith Presbyterian Hospice has $20 million in revenue, employs 120 full-time employees, and maintains affiliated relationships with physicians to support patient care. The average daily census is approximately 228 for home care and around 16 for the inpatient units. In terms of payor mix, approximately 90% comes through Medicare, 5% through commercial pay, and 5% through benevolent care, which is supported by the Forefront Living Foundation.

T. Boone Pickens Hospice & Palliative Care Center

With the leading support of T. Boone Pickens and numerous other generous philanthropists, Forefront Living has redefined hospice care in Dallas. Spanning a 9-acre campus in the heart of Dallas, The T. Boone Pickens Center includes 36 patient care suites with balconies overlooking a lake and landscaped gardens. There are living rooms and comfortable common spaces, as well as fold-out-couches within the suites for overnight guests.

In addition to the patient suites, the center contains a wellness center, playrooms for young children and teens, a café and dining area, a spiritual care center, a library, an outdoor reflection area, and a labyrinth. The benefits of residential care at the T. Boone Pickens Center include:

The Opportunity

The Role – Corporate Director, Home & Community Based Services

Reporting to Forefront Living’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and working with the CEO, CFO and COO as a member of the leadership team, the Corporate Director of Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) of Faith Presbyterian Hospice will lead a renowned and well-respected hospice program and HCBS services that include the T. Boone Pickens Center in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Director will partner with Forefront Living’s COO and the Leadership Team to develop strategies for long-term success and growth, including program expansion and partnerships with healthcare providers in the region. The Corporate Director will also be responsible for Faith Presbyterian Hospice's operations and the delivery of high-quality care. They will effectively and efficiently direct operations and partner with the Leadership Team to drive organizational performance and unsurpassed quality care to patients and families. Lastly, the Corporate Director oversees a competent and committed team on site: the Chief Medical Director, the Director of Clinical Services, the Revenue Cycle Coordinator, the Human Resources Manager, the Director of Medical Records, the Chef, the Facilities Manager, and the Director of Business Development.

The Corporate Director will lead external efforts to build strategic partnerships and expand Faith Presbyterian Hospice's brand, ideally serving as a visible and admired thought leader in the region and beyond. In addition, the Corporate Director will participate in local, state, and federal advocacy efforts that impact hospice care and support development efforts that advance philanthropic support.

The Corporate Director will fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Promote Faith Presbyterian Hospice's vision, mission, values, and goals internally and externally. Advance the organization’s culture, including furthering a culture of superb clinical care, service excellence, accountability, and innovation.
  • Ensure the organization’s Leadership Team is appropriately staffed, developed, and strategically focused on Faith Presbyterian Hospice's goals and priorities. Foster the development of a high-performing and collaborative team and a culture of accountability that produces strong results and excellent outcomes.
  • Manage the organization’s budget to ensure a strong financial position.
  • Oversee and appropriately communicate the organization’s operational and financial performance and resource requirements to the Forefront Living Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, and teammates.
  • Participate in Board meetings, as required. Communicate progress on strategic initiatives to the Forefront Living Board of Trustees.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Board of Trustees, Forefront Living Leadership Team, and others to foster alignment and achievement of the organization’s objectives and strategies.
  • Recruit, develop, lead, and mentor Faith Presbyterian Hospice's teammates.
  • Oversee the implementation and performance of key strategies and initiatives.
  • Accountability for the performance of the organization's operations, including regulatory and compliance adherence and requirements.
  • Lead efforts to grow the organization’s market share.
  • Active involvement with contracting including managed care contracting and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain contemporary knowledge of the local market and current industry trends.
  • Engage in advocacy and community leadership efforts as needed.
  • Represent Faith Presbyterian Hospice in the local market and beyond. Engage in efforts to increase philanthropic support.
