• Job Duties
• Provide administrative and clinical supervision, and leadership to addiction counselors who are responsible for providing substance abuse treatment services.
• Supervise and evaluate the work of addiction counselors, to include client record reviews and monitor the administration of treatment services. Ensure compliance with COMAR standards for substance abuse treatment. Provide corrective recommendations for improving skills in the administration of substance abuse counseling services.
• Assign tasks to addiction counselors related to data collection, reports, and the administration of substance abuse services.
• Conduct meetings to review and revise procedures for substance abuse assessments and counseling interventions.
• Establish and regularly monitor quality assurance to ensure proper treatment services and compliance with COMAR standards for substance abuse treatment.
• Assist the Director of Substance Abuse Treatment Services in the implementation of substance abuse services that comply with the department’s strategy for providing services.
• Review clinical files to ensure completed documentation within the required timeframe.
• Conduct performance reviews for addiction counselors twice yearly in accordance with State personnel policies and procedures.
• Provide substance abuse counseling, assessment, and education to clients in individual and group sessions as scheduled.
• Select and provide appropriate educational materials for clients concerning substance abuse.
• Participate in treatment team meetings for high risk persons served.
• Conduct performance evaluations of clinical staff and consult with senior management regarding results and recommendations.
• In concert with senior management take appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with agency policies and procedures.
• Conduct Intake Assessments.
• Carries a client caseload as assigned. Responsible for determining the client's strengths/weaknesses and needs to assist clients in developing a treatment plan within 5 days of admission.
• Monitors and documents assigned client's progress toward the treatment plan.
• Conduct groups for PHP/IOP/OP
• Provides alcohol and drug education in counseling sessions.
• Must keep client records up-to-date.
• Responsible for ensuring that assigned clients are given random urinalysis according to State and Federal guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director
• Responsible for client confidentiality as regulated by Federal guidelines.

• Requirements
• Approval to supervise by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Must have LCADC or CAC-AD.
• 3 or more years of clinical experience.
• 3 or more years of supervisory experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $34.52 - $41.57 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
